This family asked us in for sour milk, after they returned from water collecting duties.
We engaged with a lady called Pam who was working to help local people with education and general local improvements. She had set up her own humanitarian charity, centered at the international crossroads of Mali Diema.
The children were very pleased with the small teddies donated by our kind ladies from clacton and St Osyth. We continue to distribute these on our journey.
Martin Johnson gave the Chiefs wife a blanket knitted by his grandmother. George handed out some clothes from his wardrobe.
Arrived at Bamako, uncanny, but the first vehicle we saw in the traffic was the red German overland truck, which we followed to the Niger Campsite.
Eat in town in the Hypodrome area at Ba Bla Bla, a very good chiken and chips.
