Night beside the road.
After passing Kumba last night it got dark and as the tiredness set in, we realised our target of reaching the coastal town of Limbe was just to much. Bush camping here is not very safe and there are few places to pull off the road, as the vegetation is thick and tropical . However, we found a place last night where a bulldozer had been pushing rubish into the side. This was our campsite, we could be seen from the road, therefore a tin of Micks Hotdogs cold and no lights, before a bucket wash and bed.

One of the worst problems yesterday, was stuck cars, blocking the road ahead, as we towed them out we had more trying to take their place.

Some of the bridges were magnificant, but with roadblocks following the bridges it was advisable not to film.

This morning after another early start we join a family of South Africans that we had met in Abujar. When they asked if they could join us as we travelled through some of the tricky countries ahead, we were very pleased. Jeans experience on his 9 months off with his family will certainly be of benefit to us in the next 10 days. The comfort factor of a convoy again will also be great.
