DAY FORTY FOUR

Today George and Martins arrived in Yaoundé.

After a night below the Botanical Gardens in Limbe we head off follwing Jean Hannelise and their two boys William (3) and Jean Pier (5).

Last night we stayed at the Mirimar, right on the coast, with stunning views of the offshore Islands.

Jean Visser

Following the Visser family, we found the speed was alittle slower as they have a trailer, but at borders and roadblocks we noticed we were detained a lot less. Although I was surprised at the great list of questions and requirements that the police seemed to be asking for. Ie could they see, insurance, licence, carnet, fire extinguisher, warning triangles, reflectors, medical certificates and on and on.

As we passed through Doula, Jeans GPS gave us a very good advantage and for once we came through a major City with very few problems.

At about 15.00hrs we arrived at a missionary. We quickly, took a taxi to lodge our passports with the Gabon Embassy. On our return, we were in trouble for letting a taxi driver onto the Missionary property. For safety reasons, the lady that runs the Mission, likes to keep a low profile. Unfortunatley .....................

Jean and Hannelly put on a great Bry.
Martins although still missing Sam has found a new mate, Jean Pier.
