Dissapointment at DRC
The south Africans and ourselves were disappointed when we returned to the Congo DRC Embassy to be told that we should try again at Brazzaville. After taking the administration fee, we were given no reason why it was not possible to gain our visas here in Yaoundé.
The South Africans SA Embassy have now arranged a meeting for tomorrow morning to see why there is a problem and see if this can be resolved. The British Embassy, well first its difficult to get in from the street. Eventually I meet a very helpful young lady called Amy. She explains that there is currently no High Commissioner, and the deputy is in Kribi with British MPs. Amy records my problem but believes there is little that can be done to help.
Later in the evening I phone the emergency cell phone number and Giles Montanion agrees to phone the Congo DRC consulate in the morning.

Earlier in the week we passed through Douala and the street scenes were unusual for the UK but spot on for the location.

Also at a roundabout in Douala.
